Circle of Care Recovery Services

Sparkling Lotus - Recovery ServicesThe nature of a substance or behaviour dependence is unique to you and a successful recovery plan should be unique to you as well.  Cookie cutter solutions just don’t work for most people which is why we offer multiple recovery services.

Here you will find information about some of the modules of service that may become a part of your individual treatment plan.  Not every client will need every service. A custom suite of services willl be designed for you that may include some of the recovery menu items below.

Intervention Recovery Services

If you are reaching out to us from concern about a loved one, Intervention may be a service you’ll choose as part of your package.  Recovery doesn’t have a prayer unless the person wants it. Chances are you have already tried to convince your loved one that they need help.

Intervention seeks to awaken someone to the impact of their struggle on others and the consequences of not making change. Timing and organization are critical in a successful intervention. Everything must be ready to engage in that sweet spot of time when the loved one accepts the help. Our trained interventionists make the experience as personal, seamless and effective as possible. Learn more about Interventions.

Case Management

Your Case Manager partners with you to design and resource your custom treatment plan. Your Case Manager may also be your Primary Therapist.  Either way this professional is the first one you meet, and will be by your side throughout your recovery journey.

Primary Psychotherapist

As Doctor Gabor Maté has said, all drugs are pain killers.  There are reasons you got into trouble with substance or behaviour dependence. These reasons often have to do with attachment, trauma and intergenerational family history.  Interrupting your addictive behaviour is just the beginning.  A deeper understanding of your own story is critical for sustained recovery.

Our Registered Psychotherapists are trained in state of the art modalities to empower you awaken to a new self awareness. Learn more about a Primary Psychotherapist

Recovery Coach/Sober Companion

The slipperiest part of the slope can come in early recovery when the brain is still strongly wired for using. Most people have their first relapse shortly after completing a residential treatment program and returning to their people, places and things.  It is our own lives to which we must return.  Your Recovery Coach has “been there, done that” and can help you navigate your new way of living.

Your Coach is a fund of information about how recovery actually works and feels and can protect you from yourself when you are tempted to give up.  Your Coach can be with you up to 24 hours a day for as long as you need to feel fully empowered in your own recovery.  Your coach can fit seamlessly into your day to day, like a recovery Ninja? Learn more about Sober Coaching.

Family Therapy

Family Therapy Recovery ServicesNo one is an island and your substance or behaviour dependence weaves through other lives. If you are lucky enough to have a family, it’s affecting them.  Sometimes it’s the family that affects you!  It is a great advantage if everyone tackles recovery together, learning to speak the same language and share some goals.  Long term use by one family member creates roles of codependence among their loved ones, friends and colleagues.

Our Psychotherapists work with your people individually or in group or dyad.  We have specialists for working with impacted children and adolescents.  Circle of Care Recovery Services takes care of everyone and helps your relationships heal as you do. Learn more about Family Therapy.

Body and Soul Recovery Services

If you have been using for a long time you may have specific health related problems you may need to take care of.  For instance, if your drug of choice was opioids, you may need a referral for Opioid Replacement Treatment (ORT – means methadone, suboxone or naltrexone treatment) in order to recover safely.

If your issue is alcohol or drugs it is important to have a doctor who does addiction medicine.  When we numb our minds with substances, the body often takes the hit and we can be left with health issues and chronic pain. Addiction medicine is informed about this and less likely to respond to you with just a bunch of new prescriptions that could prolong and complicate the problem.

We have personal trainers on our referral team because exercise repairs both the body and the brain – it makes endorphins and other feel-good brain chemicals which your brain has been relying on drugs to supply until you got sober. Massage therapy, physiotherapy, mindful meditation and other therapies can ease the suffering of chronic pain a great deal.

We have nutritionists on our team because people with substance or behaviour addictions typically ignore healthy eating a lot of the time and this too can cause chronic health problems.  You only get one body and it feels wonderful when the glow of health returns.

Our nervous systems get damaged too, from all addictions. Body Work therapies like Cranial Sacral therapy can help with this.  So can acupuncture which also helps with the cravings that come in early recovery.
